Joanna Lee
Chief Science Officer
Dr. Lee is responsible for leading research and development, software and hardware functions and staff, as well as the company’s approach to purpose-built AI systems for their global customer base.
Joanna has a Ph.D. in Pure Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, where she also studied for a B.A. in Math at Trinity College. In high school she competed in Olympiad mathematics and was an IMO Silver and a RMM Gold medalist.
Prior to joining Nanotronics in 2020, Joanna was a Senior Researcher at Microsoft Research, working at the intersection of cryptography, security and privacy for the cloud and publishing work in top security conferences. She was previously a Research Fellow at Merton College, Oxford, working primarily at the intersection of combinatorics and number theory.
